10 Minute Solution Slim and Sculpt Pilates is five quick, 10 minute Pilates routines that target all muscle groups.
Who It’s For
Advanced beginners and intermediate exercisers. If you rent the DVD, make sure you have an exercise band, otherwise it is included with purchase. You will also need a mat.
What To Expect
Instructor Suzanne Bowen doesn’t spend a lot of time instructing you about form, so it’s helpful to be familiar with Pilates, or to be a quickstudy. She does however give great demonstrations, so don’t hesitate to try it if you’re new to Pilates. It just may take doing the video more than once to feel comfortable with it.
This Pilates routine is pretty challenging, but fun. Using the band creates more resistance and a higher rate of calorie burning. It’s a great tool for getting toned quicker and burning fat faster. If you haven’t exercised with a band before, it may take a little getting used to.
Suzanne’s Pilates workout targets the upper body, lower body, abs, total body. The 5th is a good stretch. Although I like the entire DVD, the stretch has become my favorite. Some days I isolate the stretch routine as a nice treat right before bed. Overall this is a great routine that flows and transitions smoothly, and is easy to follow for a great Pilates workout.
