Lose 2 Pounds a Week


I’ve developed a way to lose 2 pounds a week that works well for me. I usually gain about 5-8 pounds every once and a while. It all depends on what’s been going on in my life and if I’ve had time to focus on staying at my ideal lowest weight.

When I let myself gain 5 pounds, jeans start feeling tight and I know it’s time to do something about it again. I return to my method which is tried and true and never fails me. If it works for me, it may work for you too.


You may find It’s a little obsessive, but hey, it works.

This is what I do:

Diet

I drink a home made smoothie 5 times a day, every 3 hours. In-between time (an hour and a half after my shake), I eat 10 almonds.

So my schedule looks like this: Shake, 10 almonds, shake, 10 almonds, shake, 10 almonds, shake, 10 almonds, shake, 10 almonds. I never go more than 1.5 hours without eating something, which keeps my metabolism burning and my blood sugar stable.

In the shake, I use 1 cup of frozen spinach, 1 scoop of Garden of Life Raw Meal, 3 strawberries, and 1.5 cups of water. (Add 2 packets of Splenda for a sweeter taste.)

The Garden of Life Raw Meal recommends 2 scoops for a serving, but I always feel satisfied with one. And since I have 5 shakes a day, 2 scoops in each shake would be way too much.

My total calories for the day ends up being around 1100.There are other diets you can use to get 1100-1200 calories but I prefer this method because I don’t have to worry about cooking or buying a bunch of ingredients. I just throw my nutrition the blender and enjoy.

The Garden of Life Raw Meal is amazing because it’s all organic and includes all the nutrients I would ever need for the day. It’s a meal all by itself. It’s high in fiber, protein, probiotics, grass powders, fruit powders, etc. The stuff is absolutely amazing and I get such an energy boost after drinking my shakes. The taste takes a little getting used to, but once you do, you become addicted! I buy mine on Amazon.com. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but then I compared it to the amount of money I spend on groceries and found it’s not anymore expensive than what I would usually spend for a week.

This is actually a Raw Food Diet because every ingredient you eat all day is perfectly raw. What a nice and introduction to a diet many of you would never consider.

Exercise

For exercise I go to my 24 Hr Fitness Gym and hit the Precor. I use the “Weight Loss” program which lasts 33 minutes. Then right after that, I jog on the treadmill for a mile at 5.0 speed. Takes 12 minutes. I do this 5 times a week.

With my diet and exercise routine, I lose 2 pounds a week fast and I always fit back into my skinny jeans! I hope you will too!
