Many of us look for self esteem boosters outside of ourselves.


But, sometimes it’s hard to find support in what you do. You may seek encouraging words from friends and family, but support is not always overflowing from the sources we rely on.

To meet this need, it’s important to become your own best friend.

The ability to conquer a quest such as weight loss is linked to your confidence and motivation. To build your self esteem, you need to thinkpositive thoughts and believe in yourself that you can do it.

I am a firm believer in the power of positive thought. You need to evaluate your thoughts and listen to what you are subconsciously telling yourself.

For example, you may wake up with the intention of going straight to the gym. When your alarm goes off, you may hear a small voice say something like “Why do you even bother?” “You should just go back to sleep.” “You have a long way to reach your goal, there is no way you can pull this off.”

Many of us let our negative thoughts ruminate in our minds and the effects can be devastating. These types of thoughts are counterproductive.

You when hear your inner voice telling you something negative, you need to catch it and answer back consciously with “Yes I can do this”.

Don’t entertain negative thoughts, they have no place in what you have set out to achieve.

When you make a conscious effort to think positively, you create a steadfast belief in yourself and in your ability to reach your goals. Change your thinking pattern and you will change your life for the better. It is truly a mind game.

Make an effort to become your own self esteem booster. Feed yourself with encouragement, patience and love. Forgive yourself for any mistakes you’ve made and stop beating yourself up. The outside world is harsh enough without self defeat.

You are beautiful. You can do it. You deserve it.
