Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers is one of the most established weight loss programs on the planet. It's been around for over 40 years. Thousands of people (including my mother) have participated and have seen great results.

The program doesn't tell you what to eat, but rather focuses on helping you make the right food choices for a healthy diet. Your food intake is calorie controlled with an emphasis on nutrition.

The Momentum Program

The Momentum program teaches you about filling foods that help you beat hunger and temptation.

How Weight Watchers Points Work

Their Points system helps fill your daily calorie allowance with the foods that you enjoy. Each food is assigned a number of points. They make it easy to keep track of what you eat.

Exercise

The program strongly encourages exercise and factors in your activity level when calculating your daily point allowance. A healthy lifestyle is incomplete without exercise, so no matter what you eat, or how little of it you eat, exercise is important for maintaining weight and feeling great.

Meetings

For most people in the program, the meetings are the biggest motivating factor in sticking to dietary guidelines and staying on track. It gives you the ability to meet with other members for support and encouragement. You keep track of your weight loss with confidential weight-ins. Search the website for a complete listing of locations, dates and times for meetings and choose one that fits your schedule. If you're not able to attend, you can get all the support you need online.

Online

You can find weight loss tips, exchange stories and strategies, and make friends in the online community. Find new recipes in the Recipe Swap section and get updated information in their weekly newsletter.

Success
